I have been practising as a professional artist for over 10 years since finishing a Fine Art degree with Honours at Monash University.  In an art world that is constantly expanding into mulit-media, I have chose to focus specificually on the realm of representative painting and apply it to our contemporary world.  Working mainly in water colour and where possible, from direct observation, I try to discover extraordinary images in typically ordinary and banal landscapes.  It is usually the scences that I come across everyday which inspire me the most.  The idea of transforming such a banal and mundane scene using the light and colour achieved by paint is an extremely rewarding process.  I find watercolour is the most suitable medium for this as it can create broad planes of vibrant colour and tone.
