For a number of years I have been painting landscapes on-site around Melbourne.

Painting on-site allows me as an artist to realise the true nature of the form I am depicting and therefore convey a greater sense of depth in my work. The challenge for me is conveying the same sense of depth when I work on larger, studio - based paintings.

The greatest reward is transforming an everyday scene that I come across, into a painting of sublime light and colour.
